So, you’ve just bought a domain and are in the process of building a spanking new website to use on that domain. Have a distinctive title, description and Meta tags: If your content is unique, so should your site with its title tags, keywords and Meta description tags for each page. Your title tag should not exceed 68 characters long. Add some relevant meta description which serves as marketing for you to attract relevant keywords used on each page of your site. Remember to insert your most important keywords in the title and keywords and suit it to the content of each page.

Use free templates: To make your site look the same on all pages, use a template. For this, change the tags of each page so that it shows up the distinctive content present on each page. Add in all important keywords in the content, as an important ingredient of SEO for your site. This is so as search engine crawlers will look for high relevancy between keywords and searched words before the site can be listed in the search engine’s rankings.

History of site and backlinks: If your site has a history, it adds value and yields pure rankings. If your site has many back links, it is a further value-add to your site. If you don’t have enough back links, hook up with some directories such as BOTW.org, Yahoo Business Directory, DMOZ and Business.com. However, keep away from free directories. 

Use PPC to buy focused traffic: Buy relevant traffic so that you get in more visitors to your site and so increase your visibility online. Once they have seen your site, there;s a good chance they will create a link to you. 

Create links to other blogs using your blog: The best forms of marketing are outbound links. Not only can you track bloggers linking to you and source where this traffic comes from but you can also get noticed by them very easily.
